Global Warming

Your assignment is to find two articles on the internet that deal with the issue of global warming. When you are reading articles pay special attention to the source of the article as well as the information being presented. Where does it come from? Is it reliable? Do not just pick the first two articles you come across, but dig to find what could be considered reliable. After you have selected your articles provide the following information about them and post it as a comment to this blog:

Paste a link to the article

What is the source of this article? Who and where is it coming from?

What is the article arguing?

What information is the article providing?

What is one notable quote?

Finally, which side of the debate do you see as more convincing? Why?

The information of this article was gathered by the American Policy Roundtable and some of the information was adapted from the Heartland Institute. This article was arguing that global warming is a hoax and that it is a scam that can destroy jobs and billions of dollars. Some of the infromation given on this article is that our computers are "too crude" to accurately predict the future, and that trying to stop greenhouse gas emissions now would not stop the climate change. A notable quote is "It's become the default throw-over issue. When politicians don't have anthing else that's working for them theytalk about global warming to get the cheers---you'd like to think it's just cheers. But it;s going to cost America a lot of money. Billions."-Dave Zanotti

  10. http://www.drroyspencer.com/global-warming-natural-or-manmade/
This source is coming from Dr.Roy Spencer who is a former NASA scientest. The article is agruing that global warming is man-made, not natural. The article's information is base off of scientests researches and discoveries. A quote,"It is interesting to note that, even though carbon dioxide is necessary for life on Earth to exist, there is precious little of it in Earth’s atmosphere" it's true but having too much carbon dioxide is bad.
    http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/science/topics/globalwarming/index.html#
This source is coming from the newspaper of New York Times. It explains what global warming is and why it's becoming such a big thing. It agrues that something needs to be done, before it gets out of hand. The info shows how much the world has changed overtime. "Global emissions of carbon dioxide jumped by the largest amount on record in 2010," the numbers need to be change and lower.
